Yes, twice, and both times only after taking a big dose of b complex (which included B6) to lengthen my LP from about 7-8 days. As others have said, the B complex was a very quick fix - I saw a difference in LP length the cycle I started taking it (and with my first baby, got pregnant that same cycle).

I had a short LP as well but taking B6 supplements (over the counter) made mine longer so if you want to extend its an easy fix I think

That would be super frustrating! You can't just say "oh, this is what it *should* be and declare it's right." I'm sorry! For what it's worth, I got my first super super faint bfp's this time and last time around 9dpo, which means implantation was likely just before. Meaning it would have been fine if I had a short lp.

@owlteach: I ran into the same problem with my OB. She said she was concerned about the short LP, ordered the test, and then when the test came in a nurse called and said I had ovulated and nothing else. I felt like the whole thing was pointless. I ended up giving up on my OB and seeing an RE and we got pregnant without intervention before completing all the tests the RE ordered. I don't know what led to my bfp, but I had been taking medicine for high prolactin for a long time and it finally regulated a couple months before the bfp so that is my best guess. If I were you, I would continue with the opks and charting (don't know if you are charting?) for a few months and if nothing happens I would go to an RE. Best of luck!

ETA: Not saying you need an RE or that anyone should rush there by any means. However, if you chart, use opks, and are sure that you have well timed intercourse and nothing has still happened in a few months I would see an RE over an OB to discuss further testing and next steps.

I am pretty frustrated with my drs office right now. All they told me after my progesterone test was that I did ovulate, not necessarily when or what my levels were etc. On cd 12 my opks were getting darker, but not positive Then on cd 13 the opk was completely blank. I knew we were doing progesterone levels this cycle so I called and explained that to them. They said we would count that as my positive and scheduled the blood draw. Well I kept testing against their advice, and got a positive on cd16. I called that in and we rescheduled the blood draw. 10 days later I start my period, so I called and spoke with a nurse who told me that wasn't a problem but she would write it down in my chart. Well after the dr looked at my chart and had the nurse call me back to say that I must have ovulated on cd 12, because my period should start 14 days after I ovulate. I feel like I shoupd be pregnant by now, but I'm not....so that dpesnt make it fact. According to the opks, which I have only been using for 2 months, I have had 2 cyclea with a 10 day luteal phase...I dont think that we should just assume that the opks are wrong because it should be 14. Grrrrr....so frustrating, thanks for reading lol.

Mine was 9-10 days for many months. Then suddenly it was 12 days one month, 13 the next, and the following month I got my bfp. I wasn't on progesterone at the time and don't know what caused it to lengthen, but if I had to guess it was because my prolactin regulated about the same time. How long have you been trying? You could try asking your dr for progesterone.

I think mine are 10 or 11 days with a 35 day cycle on average so I was convinced it would take forever to conceive. I was OCD about timing things perfectly. Whether it was due to that or not, we were lucky enough to conceive once in the first month of trying (mc) and the next time in the second month of trying, both times with no interventions. Good luck!

My RE said she wants to see a minimum of 12 days for the luteal phase. I've had a few months that fall short of that, so I've taken progesterone the last two cycles.

I think 10 is sort of the min that they like. Mine was between 7-10 days long (usually 8, I think) and while I did have assistance getting pregnant (injections plus IUI), I was able to get pregnant and carry my twins with no complications. Not saying you will need interventions, just wanted to give my story since a short LP was the reason I decided to meet with an RE in the first place (although it turned out my issues were much more than that!)

I just got test results back that confirmed I ovulated 10 days ago. My period started today, which make 2 months with 10 day luteal phases. The nurse just acted like that wasn't a problem, but I was under the impression that 12-14 days was normal. Can someone ease my mind or offer any helpful advice?
