@lovehoneybee: that makes sense. I need to get new pillow protectors after my allergist visit and wash our sheets more often.

@cascademom: I'm guessing it's an "if you don't wash out any pollen that may or may not have accumulated into your hair during the day it'll get all up on your pillow and make you miserable at night" sort of thing. Of course, I only wash my hair about every 3 days, and often just throw it in a bun in the shower on the off days, so I'm hoping that just rinsing it will be good enough...

@lovehoneybee: interesting about the pollen. With pillowcases, dust mites are a bigger problem.

Oh it's been an awful week! First we got colds from E (thank you daycare germs!) which pretty seamlessly transitioned into bad allergies for me. Yesterday was terrible...I couldn't stop sneezing and could barely see because my eyes were so itchy and watery. My voice was really low, too. Luckily one of my front end coworkers has a drugstore in her desk, lol, and gave me an Allegra. It took close to two hours before I felt real relief, though, and I stopped and bought my own bottle on the way home last night.

I read that it's supposed to be really bad up here this year (and the dogwood trees are blooming...so pretty, but an allergy bomb).

My mom just texted that she read an article saying I should be washing my hair every night and changing out my pillowcase a few times a week to help control the pollen.

Yes! I've been okay (but not great) so far--knock on wood! But my poor husband almost had to miss work the other day because he felt so crappy!

Yep. I've had allergy headaches all week. It's really slowed down all of the stuff I need to get done because I'd rather sleep it off than do stuff.

Even with daily Claritin I am miserable. I try to feel better knowing that while my allergies are bad now, they are WAY worse in the fall.

@Mrs. Train: it's so bad down south!!!

Mine are awful, even with my daily Zyrtec. It was even worse in North Carolina, and I had to take Benadryl. It made my asthma worse too.

I'm not sneezing that much, but my sinuses got completely plugged and are now infected... and I guess the sinuses are dripping into the back of my throat for a while, which is giving me a Barry White voice. Have some plans in the work to fix this, and hope to get some relief soon!
