We tried to give it to DD when she was going through a very picky stage, but she wouldn't drink it. I tried a little bit, and that stuff is awful. Plus the first two ingredients are milk and sugar, so we just stuck to encouraging more milk at mealtimes.

I know a family who tried to convince their daughter to drink it at breakfast time because she had a hard time eating first thing in the morning and more often then not she would refuse to eat at school. (They had chatted with the ped about it, obviously they had some food issues going on.)

We can't do pediasure because it contains soy protein. But we do nestle kids boost and neocate eo28 splash. My son was failure to thrive and it was prescribed for weight gain.

@MrsStormy: Yup, good point. What kid wouldn't rather drink a shake than eat broccoli?

Someone we know gives it to their child because they don't eat well, so they use that so they can get the nutrients, however I think it has simply made their child even more unwilling to eat actual food since she would rather have that, sort of a lose lose.

From what I've heard, stuff like Pediasure is pretty unnecessary unless your kid is really underweight. I think it has a lot of sugar, too.

Nope... we do give him a multivitamin though!

We gave him pedialyte when he had diarrhea. he didn't like the flavored ones! he only drank the plain one.

Just wondering!
If so, why? Just for added nutrition?
