Our first took 17 mos and second was BFP on the first month trying. First time I was 35 and had no trouble conceiving. This time I was 37 when TTC and I actually had to go the fertility treatment route because my egg quality declined rapidly. More than one doctor said it was due to age. I had low AMH and evidence of poor egg quality. I'm not saying it happens to everyone at all, just giving you my experience. Eventually, I did get pregnant with clomid. I got pregnant right away with my first pregnancy and my doctors often said things in passing like "well, since you're so young and healthy..."--which led me to believe that in my urban area 35 is on the young side! </p> <p>I also found anecdotal experiences encouraging when TTC the first time.
