It's not that common anymore... But in the days of the velveteen rabbit they did not have antibiotics, so it was scary. When we noticed a rash forming on his back and face plus a "strawberry tongue", we made an appointment to get him checked out.</p> <p>The pediatrician said that it was scarlet fever! She prescribed antibiotics, and recommended we stock up on popsicles for his sore throat. I remember having scarlet fever as a kid and it wasn't so bad., so I'm hoping he has a pretty fast recovery.</p> <p>Anyone else had a kid with scarlet fever? Wondering if there's anything else we can do! </p>
