Just updating this in case anyone sees it later and wondered about the end result. I had a good beta 2 days later so it was in fact just a one off wondfo.

@travellingbee: I've read, but forget where, that once your HCG reaches a certain point the line won't be as dark. Plus even if the tests were from the same batch your FMU wasn't. You may have had a lot less water in it with the first test. Don't assume the worst! Good luck with your betas! :goodluck:

@T.H.O.U.: thanks. Yep I do meal plan. I've never had even a first beta in the "normal range" so that will be my first hurdle. If my number tomorrow is at least 50 (where my RE wants to see it), I'll feel a bit calmer... I know it won't tell me too much, but it's a start...

@travellingbee: hope you get some rest tonight. And remember the beta tomorrow isn't really going to tell you much more than those tests are telling you. You have the HCg and you are pregnant. You won't really know much until you get your second set.

You're right there isn't much you can control right now. The one thing that always helped me in these first scary weeks was to focus on diets and a meal plan and trying to get in any good calories as I could before I started feeling crappy. Do you meal plan?

Thanks ladies. I am trying so hard to distract myself today and not worry about it, but I keep having mini-melt downs. I am so terrified of the beta tomorrow. I keep trying to tell myself that there is literally nothing I can do to change the outcome and what happens will happen. But I'm still scared. :( I've never had a beta go my way so I only associate them with heartbreak, rather than hope.

Yes! This happened to me and I freaked. I had very dark wondfos when I first started testing and I decided to take a test before my first midwife appt at 8 weeks just to "see". Well it was barely there. I called my midwife and she had me do a beta even though I did not have any cramping or bleeding. Everything was perfect. She made me promise not to test anymore!! I'm 11 weeks today. It's hard, but step away from the tests!!!
ETA photo: sorry it's so blurry but the top is the one I took at about 8 weeks out and the bottom is 16 DPO

I'm eight weeks, and I freaked myself out with a very light Wondfo yesterday. That was in the morning, and another one in the afternoon was much darker. I learned my lesson - step away from the tests!

This time I had two different batches of Wondfos that were giving squinters, if that, even after my period was late, even though the lines on the FRER were blazing dark! The last Wondfo I took was lighter, but then I stopped taking them. As for as I know everything is fine, though.

I didn't use wondfos the cycle I got pregnant, but I agree it's probably meaningless. My fav confirmation test was the Clear Blue digi - loved seeing the word "Pregnant"!

When is your beta?

Not wondfos, but, other IC. The long trend was to get darker and darker, but, there was some variability from day to day. Which maybe was the tests, but could also just have been variation in urine concentration.

Ok well it's dried and it's definitely still lighter although not as much as I first thought. I'm hoping yesterday's was a fluke as it jumped A LOT darker from the day before. No more tests other than beta...!

I agree that they always dry darker. Also, for me, there was usually a gradual trend toward darkness over the days when looking back at the entire batch, but it was hard to see the trend on any 2 given tests.

Today you are pregnant. If comparing wondfos were a true science, docs would just use those instead of betas. :) They don't for a reason...

Yes, with this pregnancy, I started testing at 9dpo with wondfos. Around 12-13dpo, I couldn't tell what they were doing and I thought they were getting lighter. I totally understand the anxiety because I lost my first pregnancy (later on, but still). Anyway, here I sit at 25 weeks pregnant. I know it's way easier said than done, but try not to worry

I know. I know. Step away from the tests... But I'm so nervous and the wondfo was there... Unfortunately now I'm more nervous. My wondfo this morning was not darker. In fact, it's a bit lighter. Both with FMU. Both from the same batch. Top is yestetday and bottom is today.
