It wasnt bad! I am so glad!!! It was uncomfortable when he put the giant speculum in and then a burning sensation during putting the fluid in, but overall not bad at all. Worst part for me has been the shoulder pain after! She said some people have it from the gas, and I had it! Its gone now though.

My tubes were clear so the left one must have been spasming during the laparoscopy. So hopefully it wont be long now!!!

@littlelashestoes: Im so sorry. I know how it is to get your hopes up and then that evil AF show up or the dreaded BFN. I am suppose to start clomid this cycle as well, so we will see.

Prayers that we all get our BFP soon!

Thanks everyone for your input!

I cramped real hard for a few seconds but it was over quickly! Wear a thick pad; i leaked lots of blue dye.

I have endo, too, and I don't think it necessarily helped since I got pregnant twice before, but I don't think it hurt at all!

my HSG was no big deal. I did get a sticky BFP that month (but my issue is chemical pregnancies not getting BFPs and I was also on a higher Clomid dose so who knows what made the difference or if it was just luck)

I hope it does the trick for you!!

@fotolori1: I'm one! We got pregnant during my HSG cycle. I think my uterus in general needed a good clean-out...I bled so, so much after it! But I got my BFP three weeks later :)

@LittleLashesToes: I'm so sorry lady :( I was hopeful for you.

Mine sucked. But it sounds like you've been through a lot already, so it might not be a big deal to you when you compare it to all that. But I'd ask for some good drugs just in case. Why suffer?

@fotolori1: I just had one a couple weeks ago and it didn't hurt AT ALL. It was almost exactly like a pap smear. I took 4 Advil before the appointment. The only uncomfortable thing was the leaking afterward. I only had a panty liner, which wasn't enough. So, take a heavy pad. Don't worry. I was all worked up for nothing! Relax and remember to BREATHE throughout. That helped me to relax.

@fotolori1: I wasn't given one beforehand, but many people are. Infections aren't common, especially without a blocked tube, but I ended up with one anyways. It was MISERABLE, but it cleared within 24 hours of the medicine being in my system.

Anyways, just something to think about. And take a pad-I bled a bunch! Otherwise, you'll be fine. Anything that gets you closer to a BFP is a good thing :)

@Lovelyplum: I thought about the antibiotic and wondered if that was standard. I will ask tho! I hope I get good news too, however I dont know what that would be. Not sure if I hope my tube is blocked so it can explainaybe whats taking so long, or I want everything to be fine. However, my lap showed all sorts of stuff wrong so hopefully I am on the road to a BFP!

@fotolori1: good luck to you! Mine was uncomfortable, but more because I got an infection afterwards. I would HIGHLY suggest asking for an antibiotic, especially if one of your tubes ends up being blocked. But otherwise, it wasn't horrible. Hope it brings you good news!

@septca: thank you! I had the same thing! I had endometriosis, he removed that. Said it was pretty extensive, I had scar tissue removed, had a narrowed cervix that he stretched and had some area just behind my uterus that he repaired. Also had a fistula repair on my cervix. Then there was the tube issue. Maybe thats what it is and I have cobwebs! I am 39 years old, so that is very likely. I have been blessed with 2 healthy boys from a previous marriage, but my dh doesnt have any biological children. He has been checked and it fine, I just hope I am not the reason he never has a child of his own. After a year+ Im worried. Glad to hear your lap worked for you! I had mine last month!

@fotolori1: you'll see in the thread I shared that it wasn't painless for me, but for most people, it's not bad. What helped me get through it was knowing it was going to be over very soon so I could just tough it out. Fingers crossed it's not bad for you. Come back to that thread I shared and tell us your story when it's all over!

: I don't have anything to add the other thread posted, but I just wanted to let you know that I am in a very similar situation to yours... I have endometriosis and had a lap to remove scar tissue and check for tube issues. Both of my tubes were blocked, but my doctor was able to unblock one. I got pregnant after the surgery and am now trying for #2. I will have an HSG in a few weeks to "clear out the cobwebs" in my good tube, but I know the other one is toast (it's filled with old endo scar tissue). It really sucks knowing you can only get KU every other cycle, especially when having endometriosis basically means you have to TTC against the clock. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I have been there. If you ever want to talk, or if you have any questions, please feel free to message me.

I just had one a few weeks ago and it wasn't bad at all. It was such a breeze that I went right back to work afterwards. I felt a tiny bit of cramping for maybe 15 seconds. I took an Advil about 30-45 minutes before it so that probably helped.

I took ibuprofen before the procedure which helped with the cramping. I continued taking the ibuprofen for a few days after because I was getting cramps and bleeding. It wasn't terrible, but it was pretty uncomfortable. Totally worth it because that's the month I got my BFP. My advice is don't be afraid to keep taking the ibuprofen for a little while. Good luck!

Have any of you had an HSG? If so, can you tell me a little about it? I am having one on Wednesday and I am not looking forward to it. I have had a laparoscopy and the dr was able to unblock one of my tubes but the other one was either spasming or he couldnt get it to unblock so we are rechecking. I have heard this test is very uncomfortable so I wanted opinions and encouragement from people who have had one.

Thanks in advance!
