looove mine! got it as an off-registry wedding gift and it is probably the ONLY off-registry gift we like. We use it all the time and bought the waffle plates for it. I do not think it's hard to clean, it comes with a little scraper that gets between the "ridges" on the grill side of the plates AND the plates are dishwasher safe.

we do grilled cheese, burgers, brats, pancakes (it lays out flat and can fit ~8 pancakes using both sides), waffles, bacon, eggs, chicken breast... really anything you would cook on the stove/grill and it uses a lot less energy/heat which is nice in the summer.

Oh wow, for $65, I wouldn't have given it a second thought. I paid around $100 for it, plus the waffle plates, for another $20 or so.

I love mine, I just wish I had a nicer way to store it on the counter, then it would get used a lot more.

I don't think it is that hard to clean. I usually wipe my plates down with a wet paper towel while they are still hot to get anything sticky off, and just wash them with dish soap when they are cool. I have never had an issue cleaning it this way.

Omg I totally forgot that we have this,.. I used to use it all the time. But yeah, it's kind of a pain to clean. Oh, ours didn't have waffle plates - bummer!

We received on as a wedding gift a couple of years ago, and I use it at least once a week. I use it to cook panini's, pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, hot dogs, and chicken breast. We don't have any area to grill outside so it gets a lot of use.

The waffle plates work great! I would definitely recommend them. I love that I can have a waffle iron without having a whole separate appliance taking up space in my kitchen

I got one for Christmas a few years ago. We rarely used it and gave it away a few weeks ago. I wished we used it more and kept it but I felt bad just storing it on the top shelf most of the year. I think it's best for paninis and extra quick cooking when guests come over for breakfast.

We have one and love it! Got it when we lived in a tiny apartment and didn't want separate appliances. We do have a separate waffle iron now but hardly use it (I had no idea they had waffle plates for it!!!). Used it for paninis and burgers a lot when we lived in that apartment and now use it for pancakes a lot. I don't think it's that hard to clean, the plates can be put in the dishwasher.

We have one. We bought it because it did a lot of functions, not just one or the other. We use it for burgers, sandwiches, and occasionally pancakes. I really like it. The plates and grease trap come off easily for cleaning, and I usually just have to wipe off the rest of the machine. I've never used it for a waffle maker, but I did see that you could buy waffle iron plates for it. It's gotten a lot of use in this house!

@StbHisMrs: I have one. We mostly use it for paninis/sandwiches and occasionally as a griddle. It's relatively easy to use. A bit hard to clean, but not awful. When I was in a studio apartment, I used it for burgers.

I'm intrigued with all the things you can do with this one appliance, I don't have enough room to store a griddle, a waffle maker, sandwich press, etc.

I was looking for a new waffle maker when I stumbled across this - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002YD99Y4?pc_redir=1410062551&robot_redir=1
