We actually just threw away our foam mat because DS always tore it apart. It got super dirty underneath no matter how much we swept. My mom had those foam puzzle mats for her while we were there and although it was really convenient, DD has learned to take it apart - it's actually the first thing she does now, so we didn't take it with us.</p> <p>She's NOT cautious at all and in need of something, but my choices are limited: 1) a super expensive Dwinguler mat 2) alphabet and numbers foam mat with small pieces. LO is just 11 days old so not old enough to play with it but DH loves to lie on it and accompany me during feedings. He says it's like memory foam LOL.
