My LO goes to bed at the latest by 8:30pm, but will still wake up happy at 7:30am. Lately, I don't even bother rousing him until 7:30am for preschool. I find that he's more efficient in the morning from 7:30-8am getting ready. Before that, it was a struggle and a half to get him out of bed, dressed, and ready to go.

We are early to bed early to rise

No nap for my 4yr old means a 6:45-7pm bedtime and she will wake around 7-7:30am

Yep! She's always been a later riser and that's fine by me! She's usually goes to be around 9-9:30 and gets up around 9:30-10. Sometimes if we've been really busy and she's worn out she will sleep until closer to 11.

We are late to bed and late to rise. She wakes up closer to noon on weekdays. I'm working at getting her up earlier.

i dream of having a late riser. 7am is considered sleeping in for my LO. the last time it happened was when we sprung forward with the time change, so i don't think that counts :silly:

My LO has always had pretty high sleep needs. At 18 months she is sleeping 13hrs a night (and then we wake her up at 8am...not sure what time she would sleep to if left to it!) and 3hrs during the day.

My girls are both late-ish risers. Both sleep in until around 8:00 or so, but then play happily in their cot/bed until around 9:00 or so when they ask to get up (DD1 just comes out of her room, DD2 will start fussing in her cot). We learned very quickly that if we pick them up before they're ready to be awake, it makes for a very grumpy start to the day. Works for me - I know once I start hearing them, I have time to go shower and have a coffee before they want to get up for the day!

My oldest sleeps until eight or nine every day. Maybe twice a month she sleeps past ten.
She still takes a 2-3 hour nap every day.

My second seems to be happy sleeping in - granted he is only 10 weeks :) but my first never wanted his "night sleep" even as a baby, to go past 6. So far A likes to sleep til 8 (granted with some wakings), but I will take any victory I can get.

Not as late as Olive, but DS' normal wake time is 8/830... and on the wknds sometimes 9. He sleeps 12-13 hours.

Olive has always been a late riser. Thank goodness I had my early riser first because it would have been much harder waking up so early with 2 kids!

But lately it's gotten a little ridiculous. She's been sleeping until 10, and I've had to wake her up (and she's mad that I woke her up!). Maybe she's going through a growth spurt? She's sleeping more than 12 hours a night, even on days she naps. She's 3 1/2 and naps about 3-4 times a week, but preschool only has 45 minute naps.

Anyone else's LO a late riser or have high sleep needs?
