Ever since LO turned two, she has insisted in sleeping in just her underwear! If I put a blanket on her, even in the middle of sleeping, she will throw it off. I have even tried dressing her after she sleeps and she will protest, ”It's too hot. My house is too hot!” I hate to see her wearing so little when it is cold (to me) but she likes it that way.

I like the backwards sleep sack idea!

Our issue is thankfully not that dramatic but my 22 month old has greeted us several mornings this week by announcing "no pants!" And holding up her pj bottoms that she has taken off! It seems like she only does it once she is awake and waiting for us though, but she is very proud of herself! :happy:

A onesie over the sleeper? Not the most fashionable look, but it might help.

@Honeybee: yes, I can try that :)

@anonysquire: If she can undo the snap and zip, I'm worried that she can undo the safety pin and poke herself or eat it.

@Mrs. Jacks: bahahahaha
No help here.

I once found LO sitting in the living room silently (wearing only his diaper that day) so obviously I got suspicious. I walked over and saw that he was so carefully unsticking his diaper. It was still on from one side, but the other side was hanging off. If he peed, it would've shot through.

H hasn't figured undressing himself yet, but A comes into our room at least once a night, needing help redressing after going to the bathroom. I don't know why she needs to be completely naked to use the bathroom or why she can't figure out how to redress afterward, but I am tired. :)

H usually wears footie pajamas with the snap closure over the top of the zipper. That seems a bit complicated for him right now, although he can unzip his pj's if we forget the snap. Or what about putting her in a onesie underneath her pj's? It would add a layer of warmth and she might not be able to get a onesie off by herself.

@loveisstrange: It's the death of me. Please leave your clothes on if you are going to be cold in the middle of the night, child!

And yes, we had our share of removed diapers before we figured out the BG 4.0 trick. We only have 7 of them, though!

my friend's 2-year old twins started doing this at night, including taking off their poopy diapers. not fun. she started using a little bit of duct tape over the diaper tabs (disposable) to keep them secure. not sure whether something along those same lines might work for the sleep sack? although the backwards sleepsack seems easier and makes sense!

My SIL dealt with this. They had to get my niece pjs with buttons on the back.

Sleep sack backwards sounds like a great idea. Glad she hasn't mastered removing the diaper yet - my girlfriend is facing that with her DS, and found him the other day "painting" with his poop when he woke from his nap - oy!

YES. C has started this too. :/ I dont know what to do. We put a onesie on underneath the shirt/pants PJs tonight, so we'll see it that helps.

I'm sorry, I'm absolutely zero help here, but your title had me in a fit of giggles.

Right now with cooler weather we are having fits with sleeves. He hates them so much... but not as much as hats. I've been putting them on him everyday for practice. Obviously that doesn't help with nighttime clothing though.

Our youngest is definitely in a sensitive period for dressing and undressing, but at night it's all about "undressing" for her.

Every single night she takes off her sleeper and her diaper. We've begun using only BG 4.0 snaps at night and she can't get that off, but she's able to undress out of any outfit and then wakes up freezing and screaming in the middle of the night?

Any great suggestions? Otherwise, I'm going to start putting on sleep sacks backward!
