posterior does almost always mean the wondrous back labor... but I've read plenty of birth stories where mom had back labor but still had a wonderful birth experience. May be b/c these moms were all preparing for a natural birth to begin with though.

Cat/Cow is DEFINITELY good & my midwife told me that the weeks leading up to birth AND REALLY in EARLY labor are when it's most effective!

Hope she turns soon.... Oh also stairs help baby get into proper position too =)

@cyndistar3: Going for a water birth at a birthing center. I've got a doula, too. But I just heard posterior means longer/harder labor, especially for first-time moms. So, I'm a little scared.

@mrsjazz: My doula was able to put the right amount of pressure on my liwer back to make it feel better and the birthing tub helped a ton too! Idk what kind of birth you are having but those two things helped me so much, hopefully you just dont have to deal with it :)

@cyndistar3: Yeah--I'm afraid of back labor! I've been singing "Turn, baby, turn" (think Disco Inferno), I hope she listens.

My baby is head down, but she recently turned and is posterior/sunny side up (her face is facing my belly) instead of the optimal anterior position (facing the back).

My midwife has told me I'm no longer allowed to recline on the couch :(. I've been doing cat/cow and being on my hands and knees more often so that she can move (I'm almost 32 weeks so she still has time to move).

But I wanted to know if any of you have delivered a posterior baby and what your birthing experience was like.
