It allows you to watch netflix/itunes/amazon prime on your tv as well as some access to espn and other apps. Right now we pay 160 a month for cable and it would be nice to lower that. Oh but I would still need TLC and the Food network channel. We love them. Dh was so happy they now have the espn app. We have two places and one has cable and the other doesn't. There are a lot of free things, but if you want to watch current shows, you need a subscription to one/some of those.
