I also developed am ulcer from taking too much ibuprofen after delivery. It was excruciating at night and would wake me up from the deepest sleep. It felt like hunger pains and acid churning in my stomach. I googled natural remedies bc I was breastfeeding, and fenugreek was one of them. That's pretty much it, I haven't felt that pain again but I have no clue if its gone or still there.

i had an ulcer from taking too much ibuprofen following a ton of dental work. all i did was take that purple pill? forget what it's called... but then it went away.

the ulcer made me feel weird.... esp at night like i was really hungry but a slighty different feeling that hunger if that makes sense.

i avoided spicy food which i live for, and ate bland foods like mama moose.

Never had a full blown ulcer, but had stomach issues years ago that my doctor said was leading up to an ulcer. I had to go several weeks eating a very bland diet like @MamaMoose said, until I healed.

Make sure he stays away from anything acidic. That means no coffee, no sodas, no citrus anything, no wine. Rice is good, crackers, bland chicken. Think of it as good practice for cooking for yourself in the first trimester!

I took a drug called Kapidex that really helped me. But I basically just ate a really bland diet (toast, rice, etc) until it was healed. I think mine is back again but I'm pretending it's not happening because I'm not willing to take the meds again until I'm done breastfeeding...

DH has been having a lot of tummy issues, he's having trouble eating (no appetite & feel sick when he does eat) and grumpy most of the time because he is in pain or nauseated & now he's been getting dizzy & feels like he has something stuck in his upper abdomen. he went to his PC and they sent him to an gastroenterologist. yesterday he saw the GE, but they can't do the endoscopy until may & they're doing an ultrasound next week. the GE is pretty sure he has an ulcer.

so i guess i'm wondering if you've had a stomach ulcer (or you know someone who did or have any other advice!), what helped & what made it worse? i feel like i'm hurting him every time i cook a meal, i don't know if there's anything i could be doing differently until they finish his tests to make him more comfortable.
