@winniebee: sorry i just LOL'd at this post because my first thought was "isn't that normal baby behaviour?" . Are there babies out that become mobile but don't get into things they aren't supposed to and don't try to do more than they are capable of, then get frustrated out there, and don't demand so much more of our attention once they are mobile?

So yes, i definitely experienced this :)

@winniebee: YES! M can only walk with our assistance and if we have to stop helping him, he gets so mad. He'll sit there and cry or crawl over to us to be picked back up immediately. I can't wait until this kid walks on his own.

Absolutely! C was a complete saint compared to the terror that is his little brother. E has always been very easy going, but upon becoming mobile was pretty much everything you described with R. Things got easier when he hit 15 months and started walking on his own, then he could get around better and make himself happy. He still gets into absolutely everything and drives me insane, but he's happier at least!

Yes, he gets upset if I don't let him open certain cabinets! I call him the Hulk because he makes these fists and does this frustrated growl. He is moving all the time, and whenever he hears a door open in the distance, he will crawl like crazy to get there before it closes again.

Yep. My son is way too mobile for his own good! Has the strength not the coordination and loves the dog's water bowl... He is pulling up on everything, and once he is up he wants to keep going up vertically. He's 7 months, and I worry we will be walking very early.

Yes, K is in this stage right now. If she's not getting attention, she's not happy. When she gets home in the afternoon, she's happy for me to hold her. Set her down on the floor? Forget it. And if I can get her to be content, she's right into trying to do something I'd rather her not. We've got a climber on our hands, I'm afraid. C wasn't a climber.

Twice.

If I stop holding C's hand to walk around the house for the seventieth time she will throw herself on the floor sobbing.

She took her first steps at seven months, is up to four steps in a row at 8.5 months and can stand up in the middle of the floor for over a minute.

She is still such a baby and too uncoordinated to do the things she wants (and apparently can do) so I have to be next to her constantly.

R was a super chill and easy baby (his sleep always was iffy but demeanor so easy!) Ever since he became mobile at 8 months he is SO MUCH MORE DEMANDING! He gets frustrated easily at things he can't do, is a mischievous crawler (gets into stuff he shouldn't!), and just is way more demanding of my attention! He crawls, pulls up and cruises a little, and can climb stairs. No walking with walker and no standing alone or taking first steps. He's 9.5 months.

Anyone else experience this??
