They work well and the cord isn't a big deal. Only downside is they definitely do not last as long as gas mowers do in our experience. That being said, we actually bought one for our current house, but quickly found that the yard was too big and it wasn't powerful enough. I loved that it was easy to maneuver and lightweight. It made hills more manageable. The first one we loved.
