This time last year was probably my personal worst. I was in pregnancy hell waiting for him.</p> <p>My due date was that Friday, but they gave me the option for being an on call induction that Monday- of course then they had their busiest week ever. All week I walked, squatted, did anything to get him out. We even had sex at 39 weeks and some days- not pretty and not fun. Beached whales have more fun. </p> <p>On Friday I had a terrible headache and stopped feeling him move, so we went to L&amp;D and they kept me due to the high BP. I went into real labor during the two hours of laying still waiting for a room for induction! </p> <p>They got me into a room, gave me an epi and two hours later he was out! I had a week of painful prodromal labor in my back. Was induced at 39+5, was slow to progress, and ended with a c-section. Probably not the story you want to hear but it sounds like lots of others have had successful vaginal deliveries. While in labor that had me laying in different positions. My chiro was able to successfully get M to turn in utero -- was awesome! Pushing wasn't particularly long (45 minutes) and I didn't need any intervention like vacuum or episiotomy or c-section. I did end up with a decent tear, despite my doc's attempts to thwart it, and labor itself was long. According to dh it didn't work; she luckily had a small head but came out sunny side up. The first one was posterior with brow presentation (like @rachiecakes) but I was still able to deliver vaginally. The second was also posterior and i was able to deliver her med free! Those last few weeks of pregnancy were miserable and so incredibly uncomfortable (I'm short and he had nowhere to go, I called him Kraken because it felt like he had 8 arms and legs jabbing me)! He turned somewhere along the way at the very end and the only issue was that he had a hand up on his face and the doc had to use a really quick suction, but he popped right out and I had a mild graze instead of tearing like my first. I had similar stats to yours for weeks before birth and lots of false labor, but actual labor was only around 4 hours with around 15 minutes of pushing (compared for more than 3 hours of pushing the first time!)</p> <p>I did a ton of bouncing on the ball and squats just trying to get my water to break (squats broke my water the first time) and get the show on the road, but they had to break my water.
