I don't remember if I tested earlier or not that cycle. The earliest I've done it is 10DPO. I had a super old digital test from when I was TTC with my LO so I thought I would test just for fun since it was expired and it was going in the trash anyway. Of course it was negative...and it made me sad even though I was only 7dpo and using an expired digital. I happened to have a doctors appointment the day before my period was due (trying to fit in a pap smear, I was way overdue already) and mentionned that my husband and I were TTC, so she threw in a pregnancy test on the blood tests she had ordered. Lo and behold I got a call 2 days later saying my HCG was 7. Yes 7!! I don't think that would have shown up on a POAS test. I must have ovulated really late. I repeated twice and the numbers doubled but still stayed pretty low, so it was touch and go for the first few weeks, but all good and 21 weeks knocked up now! I was tracking and thought I was getting it right (first cycle TTC), tested when I was late and was negative (went and fully celebrated my friends 30th birthday in Atlantic City, oy), tested less than a week later & BFP! At DPO 12 I got 3 faint positives on dollar store test & a for sure positive on the FRER. good luck! Then I had a faint positive at 10DPO. It takes 5-12 days for the egg to implant, and then 2-3 days for hcg to accumulate enough to show up on a test. I had a feeling I was pregnant and tested at 8dpo, 9 dpo, 10 dpo...all negative. Then I finally decided to wait until AF was due to save money from buying these expensive test and bam!!!! Positive FRER on 14dpo!! Good luck!
