I NEVER had unbearable pain in the front. I only remember it being in the back, except for the first few mild ones. So I would take it seriously regardless of the front feeling ok. Luckily we had decided to visit my parents so I just laid around recovering, I had no idea I was over doing it but it took a lot out of me. It ended it a hospital stay and 7 weeks of strict bed rest. Please slow down and take care of yourself. She had to go on complete bedrest and if she got up to go to the bathroom her contractions would start.
