We did three rounds of Clomid/IUI, got a BFP but MC'd. We took a year off (Dr's advice since it was a partial molar pregnancy.) when we started back on Clomid, we got a BFP on the second cycle w/o an IUI.

@CupQuakeWalk: I took Clomid once, then Femara for three cycles, and I'm on my fourth cycle of injectables. I don't think they had on effect on my break, although my first cycle was shorter by a few days than normal, and I got EWCM earlier than usual as well!

@blackbird: my RE said considering everything (I am young + I've gotten pregnant twice before without meds) that I would probably continue to O off of clomid because I have been on it 4 months. So, that makes sense that it happened for you too. I am really looking forward to enjoying those summer months. I want to ride bikes and work out and hike and all that without worrying about hurting my "pregnancy".

@Happygal: Thank you for your input:) Can I ask what meds you were on and if they continued to have effect even on your break months?

I haven't gotten a BFP, but I took Feb. and March as med free months. It was a very welcome break for me, physically and mentally. I really recommend it.

We took a break and I think the medication was enough to jump start my own body....because I got pregnant while off Clomid. And I hadn't ovulated on my own in months.

But, mentally wise, it was really nice to take a couple months off because I was just so worn out and discouraged by 2 losses.

There's so much you can do to enjoy May and June, too. We went to baseball games, I drank lots of beer, etc. Little things

We are thinking we'll take May & June off. This means: no medication or other aids (preseed, opks..). Just old fashioned regular sex.
I don't, I repeat: I DO NOT see myself getting pregnant on our break, but when we go back in July, we are starting our iui and new medication. It is not set in stone but most likely Femera + ovidrel (sp?) . So, I guess I'm wishfully thinking that taking 2 months off to allow my body to regulate without meds and giving myself an emotional and mental break might make me more receptive?
Any positive stories would be appreciated.

P.s: it's more more like May- mid July because of how my cycle work out.
