I get 5% cash back on Amazon and Whole Foods purchases, 2% cash back on gas. You theoretically also get 2% cash back on restaurants and drug stores, but, I find those don't consistently categorize correctly for the rewards. I have a different card that is 1.5% cash back on everything that I use for everything except Amazon, WF, and gas. </p> <p>The one downside to the Amazon card is that if you use something like Paribus to get price adjustments on Amazon, it won't work with purchases made on the Amazon card -- neither Amazon nor VISA will adjust. If I need to make a big ticket Amazon purchase that I know has volatile pricing that is likely go waaaay lower within 30 days, I'll sometimes use a different card. But, OTOH, if the price doesn't drop, you've missed out on 5% back on a pricey purchase. The rewards aren't great on non-Amazon purchases but I only use it on Amazon. I live in a somewhat rural area but we do have an Amazon distribution center here, so I use it a LOT because we get stuff quickly that I can't buy in town. Lots of toiletries, food stuff, along with other purchases (probably picking up car seats on Prime Day, for example). Thoughts on the Amazon credit card? It seems like a win-win what with no annual fee. </p>
