We have both seats, but in different cars. If you get the diono, then definitely buy/use the angle adjuster. It's worth the extra $10. Also, it depends on how long you truly was your LO to remain rear-facing. My son is almost three and has just about outgrown the maxi cosi pria RF, but has several more inches to go with the diono. The pria is more soft and padded than the diono. I also agree with others that it gets very dirty looking from even having water in it. However, the pria definitely fits well in smaller SUV back seats. We currently have it in my mom's lexus rx 350.

We have the black/grey one and I don't love it. At all. The straps are ALWAYS getting twisted and it is literally impossible to tighten. DD is still RF, so in able to pull the straps through the back to tighten, but once we flip her, I have no clue how I'll do it. Also, agree with the staining--our issue though is the headrest, which (on my model) doesn't come off so you can't clean it.

I would totally not have gotten it and wish I would have gone with a Foonf or something.

We got the one with the tiny-fit system because we had a very narrow back seat we were trying to fit it in. I don't love getting him in and out of it (I feel like I'm constantly having to shift/maneuver him based on the angle of the car), but it definitely is compact and good for smaller back seats. He seems to like riding in it, though, and we're planning on keeping him rear-facing for another year so it should be good to go!

@dc yoga bee: bummer! I checked as well and the promo isn't listed for my model (2014 Sweet Cerise), so maybe they pulled it. If it helps you, Diapers.com does free delivery and I got mine less than 24 hrs after ordering, so that may still be a possibility for you, but it's not as amazing of a deal as an extra 25% off AND a gift card!

@PinkElephant: I'm trying to order mine right now and it has the gift card promotion still listed but isn't working! They aren't honoring the promotion. They said 20% off and $25 gift card and are saying you can only get $25 off. No 20% off. So, why list that then? Also, the Diono radian is not coming up 20% off either.

We have it and only have a travel one to compare it to, but we love it! I love how plush and comfy it is and the best feature LO loves is the built in cupholder! She loves to put stuff in it and keeping a drink there is great for long rides. Our travel convertible has a flimsy upholder attachment that always falls off. I will agree that the material stains really easily. One particular tantrum and the side head part that's grey (on our black seat) stained permanently somehow just from her tears.

That being said, I'm hurrying over to Amazon now to look at the sale and see if I should get a second one!

I have two hot pink ones. We wash them, no problem, and they're good as new. I like it, but do have some twisty strap issues; no huge complaints. It seems super comfy! They fit in our Acura MDX with no problem and space for an adult passenger in between, but the car is a bit of a beast so that's probably true for any seat.

@dc yoga bee: I have it in black in my grand Cherokee! I love it, we did have to move the passenger seat up a little bit to get the recline right, which isnt a huge deal for me (I'm 5'9) but my husband doesn't fit well in the seat so he normally drives. I haven't noticed any issues with the straps twisting.

I had it (pink one) and loved it at first then despised it. The straps twist all the time, even in the little belt thru the clip part twisted all the time. It stains really easily and bad, even just from drool. The cup holder rubber split since DS car seat sat next to it and squished it. It is super padded/fluffy and kept DD really hot and for us in a hot climate in FL it just didn't work well for us. DD did really like it until the heat became a factor. It was in a car accident so I ended up replacing it with a foonf instead. Higher limits, steal reinforced, not so fluffy/cushy, and slimmer design- really like it. And in DHs car we have a Britax Blvd, love it.

We have a pria 70 for each car and love it. Nice and plushy and I like the material. We live in a hot climate (100+ during the summer) and she sweats way less in this one than in the infant seat.

Just a warning, we have a pink one and a black one and the pink one stains a lot more. The black still looks practically new. Everything spilt on the pink one shows up!

We have it and don't have any complaints so far. I really like how plush/comfy it is - DS hated the bucket seat so anything to make car rides less annoying - and the cup holder is great, too. DS (12.5 mo) isn't in the car a ton though - we do a nanny share so have far fewer pickups/dropoffs than most, and we live in the city so he's usually only in the car once a weekend.

We have it and I really like it! I've only ever compared it to our infant seat (UB mesa) and a Graco convertible seat that my brother uses, and it's much cushier than either of those We have a really small car (old Saab model, don't know which... we don't drive that often) and it fits but is tight.

Convertible car seats are on sale at Amazon, and I'm trying to decide between the Maxi-cosi pria 70, and the Diono Radian. I've heard and read all the good reviews about the radian, and love that it has a steel frame like the Cybex Aton 2 LO is currently in. I'm concerned the radian may be too tall for my jeep Cherokee. I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback about the pria 70? LO will probably outgrow her infant car seat in length before she hits the weight limit, but no immediate plans to switch to a convertible. We just need two, and want to get one on sale now.
