DD and DS shared their bedroom for 10 months (they are exactly three years apart). DS surprised us since he's a sound sleeper, her cries were super soft though too. She only slept with us until she was 4 weeks, then transitioned to her crib in their room (which was a step away from our room so she never had much time to wake DS up). They did fine! We had a pretty gender neutral rug, wall art for each gender on their own sides of the room but there wasn't really a theme. DS misses sleeping in the same room as DD (we bought a bigger house since we didn't know how long it could have continued).

My kids (girl then boy) are 26 months apart, and we plan to have them share a room, but right now they're in their own rooms. We will most likely move DS into DD's room after he hits one year. DD's room isn't decorated at all (because we moved when she was a year old and didn't do anything to her room once we moved), but her blackout curtains are a sage green… so I think we will stick with green/beige/whites/grays.

I'm really looking forward to them rooming together because I actually think it'll improve their sleep! I think knowing their sibling is asleep in their room with them will give them comfort and help them both sleep better. We're having more issues with DD's toddler sleep right now (waking up from nightmares, running into our room in the MOTN, not wanting to fall asleep by herself) than DS's (he's been STTN since 5 months and he's 10 months now). I think once they both become toddlers having that companionship will help them both sleep more peacefully (that's my hope anyway! You know what they say about the best laid plans… haha)…

Our LO's will share a room. We have three rooms total, they will share a small office size room to sleep in and the bigger bedroom will be a toy room to share. We don't plan on moving the new baby out of our room until a year or so, there will be 32 months between them when he arrives. I think we will stick to a very neutral room with whites tans and browns.

Yup, ours will be 17 months apart and boy/girl. We currently have a 2 bedroom house. DS is the older and has his own room, currently in a crib, but we just put a twin bed in the room. DD will be in our room for the 1st year in a porta crib and then when she start STTN we'll move them in together. By that point, DS should be out of the crib and convert that into a toddler bed OR ideally move him into the twin bed and DD into the crib and later toddler bed.

DS wasn't a good sleeper until around a year. There's no way I could have had him sharing a room prior to that. The friend that lent me the porta crib had her daughter in it the first year, so that's why I'm just planning on keeping DD in our room for 1 full year and then moving them in together.

Talk to me about it!! In would love to know details! P and baby sibling will be 25 months apart and will def be sharing a room. (Well the first couple of months b#2 will be in our room) but after.that they will share a room regardless of gender.
If you have opposite gender how did you decorate the room?
Are you worried avou sleep issues at alll?
