<description>&#60;p&#62;I'm on Day 14 and doing pretty well.  The actual eating part is way easier than anticipated, but the cooking and grocery shopping is a pain.  The biggest change I've noticed is that I don't get hangry at all.  I'm barely hungry ever, and even when it's time to eat, I feel fine.  In the past, I felt shaky and hypoglycemic all the time.  My (crazily sugar addicted) DH is doing it with me and feels good, too.  We are both amazing that we made it this far but it's actually not that hard.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;We are traveling to NYC next weekend for a wedding and I have no idea what we'll do.  I think we'll just do our best but I can't see us not drinking at the wedding.  We'll be like day 22-26 at that point.  I also have a girls dinner early next week but I think I'll eat beforehand and not drink.  I love having a few glasses of wine, but it's definitely one of my triggers for overeating and generally makes me feel gross.

&#60;p&#62;My day to day is going well.  I'm starting to see some small results and I'm feeling more even energywise. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I had a rough weekend solo parenting out of town.  I relied on premade food from Whole Foods.  I chose to have a drink at what was essentially a memorial service but otherwise managed to follow the guidelines. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I just realized that my college roommate's wedding is next weekend and it would normally be an occasion where I would definitely drink (out of town with DH).  I need to think about what I'll do.

Today was scrambled eggs + veg for breakfast, chili for lunch, roast chicken + asparagus + potatoes for dinner.  I was surprised to see you can have potatoes on Whole30 now so I was super excited to eat them.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I picked up some paleo books at the library.  I had never been outside of the kids' section there so this is already expanding my horizons.

Breakfast was oatmeal, snack was apple and natural peanut butter, lunch was salmon and potato wedges, snack was Jicama and dinner will be eggs and some bacon or sausage!  Plus lots of water...and all my vitamins!

&#60;p&#62;I'm planning on making like a quadruple batch of whole30 lemon marinade then grilling like 20 chicken breasts. I'll put some in fridge but the most in the freezer - or half and half? I'll also roast a bunch of sweet potatoes for the fridge...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;*So with all that chicken I'm hoping for lots of grilled chicken on salad with avocado, grilled portobello, and maybe even compliant bacon. This is one of my favorite meals in general so I'm hoping it'll help me feel that I'm not reinventing the wheel with all the new recipes... &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;*Likely will roast a chicken and veggies and make rice for the kids to have with it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;*Burgers from trader joes - buns for the kiddos. Make sweet potato fries for the side?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;*Whole30 chicken tikka masala in the crockpot.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Hopefully all of that will cover the first week! Now to think of Breakfast....
