Once we are in a better place financially, we plan to save up for it. I get so excited thinking about it. We want to adopt older children, and probably a sibling group of two. The plan is to try for one or two biological children while I'm still young-ish. Then adopt. Such a heartbreaker.<br /> My husband and I have worked for extensive periods with children in the foster-care system. He currently works with the system. He wants to adopt them all and while we do plan to adopt if we can ever afford a second, I don't know that it will be through the foster system or not. It is a winding path at best and at worst you can have your heart decimated by losing one back to bio family or end up with a kiddo who's needs exceed the foster parent's skills or abilities.
