I also started using a CBEFM (just to confirm that I actually was ovulating). I got somewhere around 13 high days on it, but never got an "egg" reading (ovulation symbol).<br /> Yet - here I am, 12 weeks pregnant. I just found that it was most accurate for me to also test in the afternoon and evening (and tried desperately to hold pee for 3 hours!) - in fact, I noticed a "fade in" pattern on the strip test OPKs where the second line would start getting darker in the afternoon and evening and by the next morning I would get the smiley. But the clearblue directions says it's ok to test with FMU. I have such a hard time holding it long enough and not drinking any fluids. One month I didn't get a smiley until day 21 : ) </p> <p>Also, I agree with others about testing in the afternoon - HOWEVER - I had a really short LH surge that would last less than 24 hours. I used to test in the afternoon, evening, and morning. Oftentimes, my afternoon test was negative, evening positive, morning positive, then next afternoon negative. Because the smiley tests are expensive, I used the cheap internet tests in the afternoon and evening - if I had what I thought was a positive, I confirmed it using a smiley test. I never for a positive OPK and I wasn't temping so I never got a confirmed temp rise. I did note CM drying up however so I know that it happened for me.</p> <p>I agree with LeeLee. I recommend testing around 2pm or 4 pm after holding your pee for a couple hours. I always got a happy face testing around those times.
