@banana: I think both have their advantages/disadvantages, and I'd love to see/feel the differences, and cherish each experience individually

@l2sweetpea: Interesting that you say "so we can experience it both ways". I think that's why we're thinking about not finding out for baby#2, since we did find out for baby#1.

We didn't find out, and I would do it again; however, for our 2nd we probably will find out so we can experience it both ways.

We didn't find out until LO was born. If we have another one we will do exactly the same again. It was such a wonderful moment when we did find out, there is no way we would deprive ourselves of that!

I don't get the "you can plan" reason for finding out. What needs to be planned ?? It's not really a hardship having to paint the nursery walls in a neutral color. You'll get plenty of gender specific clothing after baby is born. I just don't get it.

We didn't find out and I'd love to not find out for baby #2. It was quite fun for me! Everyone was annoyed as well, more fun! Loved that part! I also inspired others to do it, because around here, no one does it.

As far as planning, totally did it. But then I can pretty much plan anything. :)

We found out for our first, but won't for our second. I wanted to and my husband didn't, so next time he gets his way. I'm glad we found out for our first (love pink and we had a girl so we were able to have lots of pink ) but I'm excited to go team green next time. Mostly for the surprise ...but I'm also glad I won't have to worry that they told me the wrong sex!

@thehistoryofus:How exciting! Glad to know that you would do it all over again. We're leaning more towards not finding out the gender but then I hear about how much easier it is to prepare knowing the gender and it makes us second guess our decision.

We chose to wait and we would do it all over again!

It was our first and we really wanted to wait to find out. We loved getting to know the baby as a peanut in the belly and letting her show us her personality on the outside! It also was nice not to get a ton of clothes or pink/blue stuff at the showers. We have a ton of stuff we can use again later and she still has plenty of pink stuff to show shes a girl

Hubs and I already have one boy and now we're expecting baby #2. We were kind of debating whether or not we want to find out the gender of the baby. I see pros and cons to both. But I think it would be so fun to find out the gender after the baby is born. What a fun surprise that would be!

Did you and your SO decide to find out the gender before birth?

For those of you who chose to wait, would you do it all over again?
