Lately DS has been sleeping later so I don't always get to see him in the morning. It stinks! If he's just starting to move around, sometimes I go in and pick him up & change his diaper then hand off to DH.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one. Baby A woke up as I walking out the door this morning, so I made the executive decision to be late for work and was rewarded with some gummy smiles for the 15 minutes I spent with her.

I leave for work at 7:30 am and she's usually still sleeping at that time, so I don't get to hold her until I get home around 6 pm. And even then I only get two hours of time before we put her down for bed. That's been the hardest part of going back to work!

There are days that she would sleep later, but it's important to me that I nurse her for her first feeding each day since she's already getting 3 bottles a day at day care... so we wake her up and I feed her and usually dress her and then she hangs with daddy while he gets ready and then they head to day care.

I leave for work at 6 and he doesn't get up til 8, so only see him for 1-1.5 hrs in the evening. He still doesn't sleep through the night though, so I get some cuddle time in the middle of the night, though I usually end up falling asleep in the glider.

DH goes to work before LO wakes up and usually gets home after LO is asleep for bedtime.

When LO first started daycare, DH would go DAYS without seeing LO because he'd leave before she woke up and would come home after she had gone to bed, it was so so so sad. But now that she's older and we have sort of adjusted her morning routine, DH sees her every morning and drops her off at daycare but never sees her at night.

DH goes to work before LO gets up. It makes weekends for them extra special though, she's always so excited to see him in the mornings!

We started day care this week. DH works from home, so he drops LO off in the morning. She has been sleeping through the night (yeah!). I put her down around 9:15pm and she wakes around 8:15am or later. I leave for work at 7:45. So, I don't get to hold my babe before work. I could wake her up, but that means she'd have to go to day care earlier, and I want her at the center for as few hours as possible every day.

It hurts, though.
