There are "safe" ToT's downtown, at the mall, and the local university. Lots of the churches also put on large scale events too.<br /> As for me, I liked getting dressed up and going door to door as a kid, my 3yo gets it this year for the first time, but he doesn't realize the tradition of TOTing on Halloween night exists, he thinks going to daddy's office and getting candy (they put on a big event) is halloween, and this year im not going to correct him. For one, the costumes are only spooky related, you wouldn't see princesses or firemen etc. Secondly, not as many people do the trick or treating - its rare to see a house decorated and its hit and miss as to how many kids you get (and you don't know any of them). </p> <p>The reason I'm telling you this @Greentea: is that I think you should move here! Most people over here hate Halloween! Getting interrupted all bloody night..... its "a thing" here to turn off all the lights and hide!!
