I have a few nice ones but I only bring them if we'll be out for most of the day or more. Usually I just throw whatever I need into my purse. I got an extra wet-bag to keep her stuff germ-free in my bag.

Nope, never did! I had a big purse with basic diaper and snack supplies, but that was it. I always carried backups of those in my car and bike trailer, so we were never far. Recently I bought my toddler a little backpack, and now she carries around her own provisions. I got to go back to my tiny purse, yay.

I have that changing pad/carrier too. I take it with me for our Farmer's Market strolls on Sunday or to the park where we just need a diaper and that's it. Since LO is 13 months old, my diaper bag has gotten a lot lighter. I'm still in love with Timi & Leslie one. I took my diaper bag with my Coach wallet and keys to the doctor's office during Tuesday's visit. I had play keys stashed in one of the pockets. Best thing ever for a little boy looking to play with whatever he could get his hands on.

@Alivoo01: I keep that same changing kit in my car at all times.

Now that he's 13 months, I find I don't need a diaper bag anymore because he drinks cow's milk and water, and eats regular food. I can get away with adding a few of his things to my purse or adding my wallet and phone to his little Skip Hop backpack and off we go.

But between birth and 12 months, I carried a diaper bag that stuffed to the gills!

Not anymore. I love my diapers bags and they are all very purse-like. But, my son is 1 and I keep a diapers and wipes in my trunk at all time, he eats fingers foods (so no bottles), he doesn't use pacis...
I just stick some hand sanitizer and a fruit snack pouch in my clutch purse and go.
On long trips (3-4 hour mall trip), I bring either a big purse or ill get out my diaper bag.

I hated diaper bags - I only used them if we were going to be gone all day. For quick trips I used a JJ Cole diaper/wipe case and stuffed an outfit in there. As the babe got bigger I would just use my purse!

When we go out and about, I carry this lil diaper changing pad. I keep 2-3 diapers, a package of wipes, a change of clothes, and a burpy cloth in it. Given, I only have 1 kid and he's 3 months so I'm sure I'll have to use a diaper bag soon. Does anyone else not use a diaper bag? If you didn't, how long did that last you?
