@BananaPancakes: oh, really? My OB checked my iron levels when I was in the hospital and I think they are fine. My shortness of breath comes and goes. It doesn't happen every day.

@Mrs. Oatmeal: I didn't know they were related either, but I knew it wasn't right. I was so out of breath and it started early, like at 8 weeks. I was mostly ticked because I planned on continuing to run and do crossfit through my pregnancy, but I had to stop at 10 weeks because I was so short of breath and couldn't keep my heart rate down. I was told by my ob to stop, and then come to find out I could have continued if they had just taken blood. Of course, by the time we figured it out, it was too late to start back up with anything heavy and I was only given the ok the walk.

@BananaPancakes: yes!! This was one of my biggest signs of iron deficiency, and I had no idea the two were even related! I just assumed it was normal pregnancy stuff!

@bluestriped bee: I was very out of breath, and bloodwork showed I was anemic. Once I started on iron supplements, it was like night and day. When was the last time they ran bloodwork? It didn't show up in my early bloodwork, but it showed up by my second round, which was after 20 weeks. I was ticked because I kept telling them I couldn't breathe and they just kept saying that it was normal.

@bluestriped bee: This is way late, but I meant to add that the leaning forward thing comes in handy later when it's hard to completely empty your bladder. No idea why, but lean forward while peeing too!

@Truth Bombs: I just got over that! After almost 2 weeks of having the sinus infection I finally went to the doctor. Got on meds and feel a ton better. And like you had to carry my 2 year old up the stairs a couple times last week. I finally gave in one night and let him sleep downstairs with me. now he asks every night if he can sleep in mommy's bed. ugh!

Yep! Although it didn't start for me until 30-ish weeks. Even sitting slouched in a chair makes it hard to breath. And I was running late to my last appointment and had to carry my toddler as I ran up three flights of stairs. I was so out of breath when I checked in with the receptionist. It was pathetic!

I've been very out of breath lately. I'm 15w4d. I woke up this morning and had to sit up to catch my breath.

I googled it and it might be the babies laying on my diaphragm.

I'm wondering if I'll become more out of breath as the pregnancy continues.
