My mom insisted on it because of the style of it. I assume that it does NOT meet any US standards. Its very very much a Chinese product. It almost seems unsafe, but I'm sure its totally fine which is why we continue to let my girl use it at my mom's house. It took over a month to be shipped to us. All instructions in Chinese. Based on this, I would not be comfortable buying a stroller from China. I'd for sure look at a consignment shop. I have the Uppababy Cruz. I absolutely love it. I contemplated getting the Vista in case I needed it to be a double, but was confident I wouldn't need a double any time soon. Opps. Just wanted to chime in because you actually can find good deals on strollers on Ebay, but I'd stick with sellers in North America. I've gotten 3 strollers on Ebay (a city mini GT, a britax b-agile double, and a valco snap4). They have all been great and saved me a ton over normal retail or even normal sale prices. Mine were all new but had dented boxes or were returns. The higher end strollers are such good quality that they hold up really well for resale. I got our City Mini GT with several accessories for about 1/3 of retail. It had very minor scratches but was otherwise in perfect condition. I don't want to spend $800-$900 for a stroller, but we will if we can't find something comparable. Our babies tend to bigger and taller than the average baby. Many receive a pack of staples or crap and then you have to get a refund via eBay.
