<description>&#60;p&#62;@gotkimchi:  are you raising them? chicks are going to be way cheaper and if you're doing meat birds, they only last til like 8 weeks until they are big enough to process. we haven't done meat birds yet, but we did cull/process/eat a rooster that we got when we bought chicks last year.

For people with experience, what's the advantage/disadvantage to brooding chicks v getting pullets? Our feed mill does both and pullets seem easier but I don't know if I'm missing something
