They did tell me 7-10 days but it came back faster every time. I’ve heard of people getting their results much sooner, and I think its somewhat luck of the draw and proximity of lab your ob sends it to. FX you get quick results! That’s awesome that he’s over 7lbs! But for some reason being scheduled without being tested makes me feel so weird! What if it’s psychosomatic and I’m just kind of imagining it since I was about this far along last time. And I was on the low end of bile salts but still over the threshold. What if I’m just imagining it. </p> <p>It’s an RCS so I guess it would be a different (better) experience than last time when I was induced at 37 and it was long and awful and failed and THEN I had a CS. Plus this baby is already really big (according to their measurements last week at ultrasound he’s already 7lbs!) so maybe it’s for the best? But ugh ugh ugh I thought I might have avoided it this time. I think it’s pretty uncommon to NOT have in subsequent pregnancies. If you’re showing obvious symptoms and you’re like 35+ weeks they might just opt to do it at 37 since waiting for results past 37 weeks can be fatal. Likewise if you’re 37+ weeks I don’t think they’d bother testing if it seems pretty likely you have it based on symptoms and 37 is considered full term. So, it wasn't certain until that second test, but because I was negative from the first test my dr wasn't too concerned. I'm sorry you're dealing with this! Now I’m actually nervous. Haha. well from what I understand it’s a very standard test. It’s more like a culture where there’s a set number of days that they need to get results. How long did it take for results?</p> <p>I had it last pregnancy and it took 10 days for results. I’m having similar itching again now at 35.5 weeks and she told me last appt not to mess around if I feel it again. But I’m wondering how long results would take, because if it’s still 10 days I’d be right at 37 weeks which is when they want baby out. </p> <p>Thanks! </p>
