I didn't lose the last 5 pregnancy pounds until after I stopped nursing, so don't let that discourage you if it happens. I'm another 5 below pre-preggo weight but I'm more focused on toning now as my weight shifted around like crazy. I try not to snack, we go for a long walk at a local park a few times each week and now that I'm chasing a 1 year old around all day, it helps!

I'm 6 weeks pp and I weigh about 20lbs less than I did pre-pregnancy. However, I was pretty overweight before getting pregnant (still am) and I only gained 7lbs during the pregnancy. I think it's because I'm too busy to snack as much as I used to plus the breastfeeding definitely helps! Hopefully, I can keep it off....

With DD, I got back to my pre-preg weight when she was 2. Then I turned around and got pregnant again! I just recently got back to my pre preg weight after DS. It felt so good! My experience was same as @sandy: I ate a ton while breastfeeding and after DS weaned, my stomach had stretched out and I was still eating a ton. The first time I lost the weight, I did it through exercise. This time I cut out the extra carbs and now chasing after 2 kids, I just don't have a lot of time to sit down and consume a lot of food anyway.

Nope! But I'm working on losing weight and didn't even start trying til 7 or so months pp. There was a point when I weighed less than pre baby (thanks to ppd, not BFing) but I still wouldn't say I was thinner.

I was fairly small prepreg, gained about 30lbs during pregnancy, and lost it plus an extra 8 or so lbs. I was back to prepreg weight by about 8 weeks PP. i did paleo and BF. also did 30DS for a while, but now I just do jogging and yoga when I can. I was a size 2/4 prepreg and now I'm very comfortably fitting into size 2s...I am still eating paleo for the most part, and that makes me not have to try very hard to be skinny:). I used to kill myself in the gym - even while preg!

I am about 5 lbs lighter than I was pre preg as well. I attribute it all to breastfeeding because I eat a ridiculous amount of food and the only "workout" i do is lots of walking! i agree with @hilsy85 though, even tho i am thinner, my thighs are softer and so is my stomach, but i just don't have the time nor energy to seriously work out!

I was just a few pounds plus pp within months b/c of breastfeeding. Bummer- I went up 10 lbs since then (still b/f throughout) b/c of irregular eating/sleep habits. So yes, the earlier the better and then maintain is my advice.

Yep. I lost 11 pounds in the first half of my pregnancy, and then gained 20, so I was positive 10 pounds at delivery. Right after delivery I lost it all, so that I was at the weight halfway through my pregnancy, before the weight gain.

3 months later, I'm down another 10. BUT, I don't have the newborn issues to contend with, which I think helps. Sleep deprivation isn't good for weight loss.

I weigh less now than pre baby, and I was thin pre baby...but I'm kind of skinny fat now? Like things are mh softer and even though I'm thinner I don't necessarily love the way I look in clothes. I've put little effort into working out though because I'm worried about my supply/I'm always tired, so I'm sure if I did that I would look better.
