But as others have said, local monitoring is no problem. I just called a local fertility clinic to schedule what they call "outside monitoring." My doc sent orders for my u/s and lab work to the local office so they know what I need. Then it's just hopping on the plane for a transfer at my original office. It wouldn't have worked if I had not been able to take a block of time off work near the end on my stims (for monitoring ultrasounds, retrieval, and transfer), but otherwise it was great! Make sure that a local office is able and willing to do your labs and early monitoring. Typically we drive the day of. For the ivf they did daily monitoring so we got a hotel for two weeks and did it.</p> <p>This time was local except for the transfer which was 3 hours away.
