It's typically strongest for the first four days but can take weeks to fully air out. If you can, prop it up on it's side for a few days - that allows it to air out all on sides. It feels very similar to our Tuft and Needle mattresss, just has a little less sink. I like my mattresses on the softer side. I really love memory foam! DH was totally skeptical but now he's into it too. I made sure to let it "inflat" after shipment for a full 48 hours (I read thousands of reviews lol) so that it inflated evenly. It's been great! She got it because her (very wealthy) in-laws have them at their house. We like it. We got a foam/inner spring combo one for our daughter and love that too.
