There are two long sections for room temp or cold, and a square section that has a removable thermos. I usually like to use this Hf I send soups or pastas, then have veggies or other things in the side compartments. If you remove the thermos, the square is perfect for a sandwich too. I love my Omie and Yumbox! I use silicone cups in the big compartment to add more variety. The two side compartments on the right hold veggies. The middle is for his gummy vitamins. She doesn't like assembled food so I have to send each food separately so it's nice to have a lot of compartments. Typically we put in each spot: ham slices, cheese, crackers, veggie + dip, and fruit. I was looking at planetboxes but they're $$$ and the compartments aren't leakproof. Other than it being plastic, I really like the look of the yumbox. I'm trying to decide between 4 and 6 compartments.
