The holy grail comforter for us is the lightweight faux down Tommy Bahama comforters at Costco. They cost like $40, they come in light pastel neutral colors (we have a lavender one inside a lightweight duvet (IKEA duvets are super lightweight cotton and the set cost us $50). The king size comforter and duvet works fine for the Cal King bed. I'd spend that much if I LOVED it, but would prefer to spend closer to $200 max for one that I just think is ok.</p> <p>We're not super picky people, but DH is a major sweater when he sleeps, so we can't get anything that's at all white (the back of our old comforter was white, and it constantly looks dingy even if it's just been cleaned). </p> <p>I prefer a geometric print, but plain or strips would be ok too. Just nothing too flowery or pink. </p> <p>anyone have suggestions on where to look (I've tried Target, Amazon, and Kohl's) or want to share recommendations?</p> <p>thanks! </p>
