@dolphin: yeah with the molars I have not been letting dd cry but hopefully once they are out we will get back on track... I had the same thoughts as you about toddlers and sleep!

Us! 32 mo and has never STTN. We had a sleep study done and besides some night terrors and borderline apnea (so mild they won't do anything, just has the potential to develope apnea later) he is fine. Mama is tired (he still co-sleeps)!

It is very touch and go for us at 28 months. He will go through weeks of STTN and then all of the sudden not do it for several weeks.

@googly-eyes: thanks! i was just curious cuz DD is one and still wakes up in the middle of the night. her crib is in our bedroom so when she wakes up i have to get her, otherwise she would cry and scream. i was hoping that when they are toddlers, middle of the night wakings mean they wake up but could magically put themselves back to sleep easier and less tears. i can only hope! :)

@dolphin: Not sure if this was addressed to me but usually I at least check on her to make sure she's ok, and then I have calmed her, walked back out, and let her cry but usually no longer than 20 minutes before I at least check on her again. If I don't walk out at all she will want to be pat or whatever and it can last hours. The latest thing is that she will go right back to sleep if she's in the pack n play in our room. (We have a mattress for it.)

Uh yea, some nights. I usually let him sleep with us, if he cried for too long he's up up, as in for the day. At 4:30am.

My three year old responded well to incentives ie sticker charts once he turned two. At that age you can try some new things like that because they start to get it a little more!

For the most part he sleeps pretty well. But when he is sick he is up several times a night and it can take a week or so for him to get back on track after he is better.

Wow so I guess it's more common than I thought... Worried this might end up being us as dd is going on 16 months and back to waking up... It's been off and on with sttn I guess technically since she was two months and sttn the first time.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for an overall ok sleeper...just wondering when things might get consistent and I thought I'd get a bunch of "nope! My two year old sttn!" Lol
