My baby slept in a bouncy seat or her glider swing for 2-3 weeks and then started sleeping in the newborn napper attachment on the pack n play. She's 4 months now and sleeps in the big part of the pack n play, still in our bedroom.

@runnerd: We were using the bassinet from the Vista on a rocking base during the day, but now we're using the crib during the day (and transitioning to crib at night too). I feel like each baby has their own individual likes and dislikes, so if a friend has something that you can try before you buy it might be a good idea! Interestingly he's fine with the Mamaroo but hates the Babybjorn bouncer so there's just no guessing.

@runnerd: we used RNP and won't for our next. Transition was a pain! I want what @Aandmklover: posted!

@Mrs. Tea: I think he is same about not being a fan of motion!

@daniellemybelle: he is already sleeping in crib at night from day one :) for some reason I feel bad sticking him in there in the day time lol

@Aandmklover: I saw this and am very tempted! Just wonder how long he would fit in there!

I'd say to try the crib! Save you the trouble of trying to transition. At that age we were all about the swing though.

My LO wouldn't sleep in the rock n play - we just used the pack n play, where she slept at night, or the swing.

My little one didn't like anything that rocked or swung. She was a crib and play mat baby. Worked well for us because she napped and slept at night in her crib from the get go which was our plan.

I don't have an r&p. M sleeps in pnp, bouncy, swing, crib, or laps for naps. He sleeps in his crib for most of them, now, and at night.

My LO did not like the RnP either. Early on we'd let her nap on us mostly. Then she went through a phase of napping in her bouncer or swing. Now she only will nap in her pack n play (with bassinet attachment)

My LO preferred napping in the swing but slept in the RnP at night for the first six weeks. I'm going to get a RnP bassinet this time around because I want the baby to be able to move his/her head more. We had issues with torticollis and slight plagiocephaly with R.

The swing! My baby LOVES to take all her naps in the swing. She always has and still does at 14 weeks. I will be sad when she longer can fit in the swing. She takes some awesome naps in the swing. We have the snugamonkey. It is pretty great.

LO is 4 weeks old, and I've finally decided I don't think he likes the rock n play. He sleeps pretty good in it for naps as long as he's absolutely asleep when we lay him down, otherwise he screams. He does much better on playmat, changing pad, and crib, so only difference I can figure is he doesn't like the incline of RnP??

If your LO wasn't content in RnP what did you use as portable alternative for daytime naps?
