Mine have gone right back to where they were before. 28ish days and Oing around Cd20. I was hoping my luteal phase issues would fix themselves post partum, but guess not.

@cmomma17: I hear you! I was obsessive with tempting during TTC #1 as well! But it worked really well for me and I loved being able to know when I ovulated, so I did it again. But postpartum, my cycles were all over the place and so were my temps, so it was hard to figure out what was going on. I finally gave it and decided to try OPKs for cycle 3 (I had never used them before either) and OPKs worked really well for me and got me my BFP! But I don't regret trying temping first and it was nice to confirm ovulation after using the OPKs. Plus temping gave me my first indication of a BFP because my temps were triphasic that last cycle.

@Adira: I can't decide whether or not to temp again. I did for TTC #1, but I was obsessive about it. Not sure if I want to go there again! I've never done opk's. I'm still nursing at this point, but only twice a day.

I acutally had SHORTER periods post partum. Some as short at 26 days with spotting startinga few days earlier. I was a little freaked out but my doc said not to worry since it was the first half of my cycle that was short, and my luteal phase was still 14 days. That being said, I never went on any sort of birth control post partum, we just use NFP + condoms around O.

Also, good point from @MrsMccarthy: I was still nursing in the beginning too.

I was still nursing but mine started super long and then shortened with time. Perhaps the hormones from the IUD are still adjusting. So excited that you are TTC this summer!!!

Mine definitely was readjusted post-partum. I used to have very regular cycles (28 days, O on ~CD 15). My first cycle postpartum was 43 days and I ovulated on CD 36. My second cycle was 38 days and I ovulated CD 28. And my third cycle I ovulated CD 20 and got pregnant. So they were definitely regulating, but I don't know where they would've ended up!

@yellowbird: same here! it's awful!

I have long cycles to begin with, so I really hope they don't lengthen!

Yeah that part is longer for me too. I used to have 4 days tops, now it's 7. Ugh!! So annoying!

I just started tracking things post partum this cycle so I can't say for sure yet. However, the AF portion of my cycle is way longer (almost double) and just ... worse. :meh: Not sure if that means anything though!
I think I do recall reading in TCOYF that cycles can change after giving birth.

I just started tracking my cycle last month after my IUD removal in march. I had a 35 day cycle with O around cycle day 23. This month I'm on cycle day 22 and I think i will get a positive OPK today as I'm having a fade in effect. My cycle length will probably be 34-35 days this month too.

I used to O around cycle day 18 and had a 30 day cycle. I wonder if my body readjusted or what's going on.
