DD2 stopped taking bottles at 6 weeks and here we are still nursing without any bottles at 13 months. mostly because though I'm a SAHM... otherwise I would've kept at it. I think persistence is key. Try with the bottle she used to take. I wouldn't change it up too much. Babies like consistency... It will be frustrating, but know that if you give up now, it's harder the older they get. How long did it take you? I'm just not sure I can handle it. Right now I just try to give her an ounce once or twice a day and usually we don't even get it all down. Go figure! </p> <p>And she will not starve! The worst that can happen is that your babe might "reverse cycle" and want to eat all night since she didn't eat during the day, but even that probably won't last long. Our strategy was to just keep trying with the same bottle every day (we used the medela bottles/nipples). DH was super persistent and it paid off! Have other people tried giving the bottle to her? LO is getting to the point that she doesn't like me to give her a bottle, and even sometimes won't drink it if I'm in the room. I can usually get her to take an ounce or so, but it takes an hour and lots of crying and fussing. I return to work in one month and she'll need to take bottles during the day at daycare. I'm assuming, worst case scenario, she'll have a rough couple first days at daycare but will eventually take the bottle. She's not going to starve herself, right?! </p>
