At around 2 DD1 outgrew her milk protein intolerance, though I wouldn't classify it as an allergy.

Our allergist said egg and dairy allergies are commonly outgrown, but peanut/tree nut allergies are not as likely to be outgrown.

Not my LO, but I had a severe egg allergy when I was little, but grew out of it by the time I was in elementary school, and am totally fine with eggs as an adult! I also had milk intolerance/sensitivity when I was a baby, but only have mild issues with milk now.

LO outgrew her allergies to dairy and soy a little after 12 months. She had bloodwork to confirm. The skin test showed she's still allergic to egg and they gave her an epi pen. She goes for an eating challenge at the hospital this summer to re-evaluate.

My DS had severe reactions to eggs and dairy, starting from when I was breastfeeding and consumed eggs or dairy. Now at 2 he can eat eggs and powdered milk if they're baked into things. He still gets a contact reaction from scrambled eggs and unbaked dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt, but we're hoping it won't last forever!

My little sister had a pretty severe egg allergy that she outgrew around 2-3 years old. Her allergy caused her to turn red and have trouble breathing.

She still has a tree nut allergy to this day.

My little brother grew out of his wheat allergy, though I'm not sure exactly when. He was fairly young? Unfortunately he's still allergic to milk, soy, eggs, and peanuts. But the wheat one is hard to avoid, so I think it was a relief to his mom when she could at least go back to having that in things.

We just started introducing new allergy risk foods to my 12 month old and so far he's had a mild reaction to scrambled eggs and a bigger one to peanut butter. :(

With the eggs he just got a little blotchy around his mouth which faded on its own quickly but the peanut butter gave him defined hives on his face, mostly just around his mouth then I gave Benadryl which stopped any further reaction.

Both times he was completely fine otherwise, just seems to have a skin reaction around his mouth.

We'll be having the doctor do the blood allergy tests at his 15 month well visit per her suggestion but I was curious, did anyone's LO have reactions at first but ended up not having the food allergy forever?
