So we started just letting her sleep in the bed. After over a week of nightly battles to get her to stay in bed we have up and put her back in the crib. Not sure when we will try again since she's not fighting it anymore at 26 months. We started with just removing the front and then about a month later got her a twin better with a safety side. No problems really. A couple times he kind of slid out, but the bed's really low. I had to just put him back in bed. They both transitioned from cribs to floor mattresses (twin and full), and then we elevated the beds with box springs/bed frames once we were confident they wouldn't roll out. </p> <p>I will do the same for LO3 and get rid of the crib early. I think mine have done well with it because they never were tempted to "escape" the crib, so they don't wander out of their beds. Even if they wake up in the MOTN, they stay in bed and whine/cry for us haha. At daycare she slept on a cot, and they never had any issues with her leaving her bed or rolling out. Trying to decide if I need to keep with the crib or look into having a bed for her. </p>
