The snot sucker is NOT the nose frieda, that thing never worked that well for us. I found a great battery operated one at the drugstore and it's changed our lives. It gets so much of the mucus. I put vapor rub on his chest and his feet and put socks on under his PJ's. If so, this is the kind of cough you can go to the doctor and get antibiotics for if it doesn't clear up. But in the meantime, get the saline drops up her nose - it will help her clear out. Our Ped ok'd us to give LO some benadryl last week when LO had a very bad cough from post nasal drip to dry her up, but she is also older (17 months). Benedryl can dry them up a bit but it won't actually treat the cough. Using a humidifier sometimes helps M when she's coughing badly. She once again has a bad cough. Is there anything we can give her, or do we just need to wait it out? She coughed off and on for hours last night, so I know she's not getting good quality sleep (and neither am I because I wake every time I hear her cough!). </p>
