We got our LO the big one when she was about 11 months and she did fine with it. The first size is good for the first year though. I can actually sit in it. She still has tons of room to grow and she is a small to averaged sized 2 year old. I sort of wish we got the smaller one but then again, our living room is very small. I think it depends how much space you have.</p> <p>Edited to add: I haven't actually seen the smaller one so I can't comment on how fast they would grow out of it. I don't know what size to get. Will she outgrow the First version quickly? She's 4 months old right now - will be 6 months at Christmas. Is the regular size one better? I don't want to get that if she won't be able to use it for a while though. </p>
