The only nice clothes he has is when he sees extended family. I think we will ask for swim lessons and a music class. For her birthday we got a membership to the aquarium. We're actually getting her a kitchen, but I had to find a small one. I got the kidkraft vintage, because it is pretty tiny and will also double as toy storage. </p> <p>Sadie loves her little people. I bought a little bucket at the dollar tree, and we've filled it with little people. It doesn't take up much room, and can be put away easily. She plays with her LP every day. She has the dollhouse, which also doesn't take up much room since it folds. </p> <p>We're also getting Sadie a pop-up play house/tent. It folds flat, and comes with a carrying case. We can just pop it open and let her play, but as soon as she's done we can twist it back up &amp; store it under the couch/in a closet. My mom asked if I thought she would like a play kitchen, and I'm sure she'd love it, but I have no idea where we would put it! So I'm trying to come up with a list of suggestions for our families when they ask.</p> <p>She will be just about 17 months at Christmas, so I'm thinking of things she will enjoy between now and her 2nd birthday this summer (and beyond, of course!). So far, I've come up with hand puppets. Any other suggestions for things that don't take up too much space but she will play with for a long time? </p> <p>(Our families are all very much 'tell me exactly what she wants and I will buy it' vs. enjoying the thrill of picking out just the right gift. They like seeing her play or wear whatever they gave her but don't like guessing what she will like.) </p>
