I think 2T is bigger, personally. If you look at size charts, it is.

I see 24m as 18-24 months and 2T as 2-3 years.

The lady at Carter's told me that 2T is taller and thinner, and 24 months is wider and shorter. That said, I bought one of each sleeper at a used kid's store and they look exactly the same to me!

I think 24 has more room in the butt area for diapers! Also overalls and rompers have diaper changing snaps for 24 months!

My MIL says that 24 months are more babyish.... like for the chubbier kid who still has baby fat, and that 2T is for toddlers so they are more slimmed out.

I'm confused too. It seems silly. It should just go from 18 month to 2T

I agree, I just bought 2T because it gave a bit extra room for her to grow into it.

I used to get 2T, when I could find it. I looked up the differences a while ago, and according to the size charts, there was a small difference.

Not quite the same. I've found 24 months to usually have a (very) slightly shorter hem (pants or shirts) and a slightly thinner waist band (pants) in boys clothes. But they really are very similar.

I think 24 months are wider. I usually opt for 2T if I can find it.

There are some places that offer both sizes and I can't figure out what the difference would be. Is there even a difference?
