But we stopped swaddling at 3.5 months. Over the summer she often slept only in a onesie because it was so hot but now it's cool at night so she definitely needs fleece since she can't use a blanket. It's that or something light plus a sleepsack bus she seems to like just wearing jammies.<br /> @T.H.O.U.: where did you read that a fan reduces SIDS? My understanding has been that there is an increased risk with increased temperatures but that there is no evidence that a fan helps. My LO runs super cold so I put her in fleece on cooler days already. I don't use them at night though because of SIDS. BUT we swaddled or did a sleep sack for her first winter and then they were less necessary (but still used). I think we alternated fleece sleep sack and cotton pjs or fleece pjs and cotton sleep sack.
